The graph shows the percentage of male and female academic staff members across the faculties of a major university in 2012.

The bar chart reveals the information about the percentage of the both genders who taught in different faculties of a major university in 2012. As an overview, the highest percentage of academic staff member were men in engineer sector.

It is clear from the chart that, engineer dominated by the male academics. Whereas, female had the highest percentage in education. Notably, 85% of the engineering teachers were male and only 15% female. However, 35% of the academic staff in education were women with just 25% male.

In addition to this, in medicine gender representation was almost equal, while, in art subjects slightly more than half the academics were female (55%). Secondly, business and science had the same proportion of men and women with 65% male to 35% female academics in those faculties. At last, law had a slightly higher percentage of women at 40%.

To sum up, the major percentage of male dominated in engineering, business and science. Whereas, women made up half the faculty of medicine and were predominant in education and arts.
