The graph depicts the proportion of staff members between men and women across 7 different departments of a major university in 2012.
Overall, engineering has the top percentage amoung men(around 82%) and education amoung women (around 78%). However, education is the least amount(approximately 21%) of staff
member in males and among females it's engineering(almost 18%).
Firstly, the Engineering staff percentage of men is much higher when compared to women which is approximately 82% and 18% respectively. law staff percentage is 60% for men and
40% for women. The academic staff percentage in science for men is around 61% and for women is around 38. When looking at business staff percentage we are able to see that it is almost 62% for men
and almost 38% for women.
From the bar chart we are able to see that women population is much more in particular fields like Arts, Education, and Medicine. In education, women are a peaking 78% whereas men at just above 20%.
However, there is a slight decrease in the percentage for women in arts at 58% whereas males are at just above 40%. Academic staff percentage in terms of medicine is quite equal with women at 50% and men just below 50%.
In terms of arts women is leading men with around 10% wheras men are just above 40%.
