Overall, there was an upward trend in the number of people holding the uk’s passport. Meanwhile, the number of Asia, Africa and Europe immigrants in britain experience a significant increase, except for America, Australia and others.

increasing from about 20 thousand in 1972 to about 38 thousand in the following one decades, the number of people obtained uk’s citizenship then levelled off at around 37 thousand in 1982. This was followed by a moderate growth to approximately 50 thousand in 1992 before reached the peak number at roughly 110 thousand people owning the uk’s nationality in the last reported year.
