Languages with the most native speakers
The table provides the statistic about the number of native speakers and speakers as an additional language in six different countries.
It is clear from the table that in five out of six countries, the number of native speakers occupied the majority in total number of speakers. The reverse is true with the English language, oversea people speaking English outweighed native resident.
With about 900 million native speakers used mandarin Chinese, there was an enormous discrepancy with people speaking it as a second language. The number of indigenous people communicated by Hindi language was more twice as much as foreigners studied Hindi there. At the same structure in the proportion of speaker with Hindi, Spanish language had 350 million indigenous people using and only 70 million was not native people.
When both Arabic and Portuguese still did not become common in the world, only 24 and 10 million people spoke as an additional language and native speakers had a tenth as much as foreigner speaker. On the other hand, the number of people speaking English who are not native people was more doubled than native residents and archiving over 600 million people.
