The graph gives information about the average number of people commutes each day by car, bus and train in the UK.
It is clear from the graph that the figure for car and train had an upward trend and the reverse is true with Bus. The figure for car remains at the highest position and outnumbers the others.
In 1970, there were nearly 5 million commuters using the car followed by 4 million and 2.5 million people choosing Bus and Train, respectively. Over a period of 30 years, the fondness of the car rose slightly, then witnessed a large increase in the following 30 years. Besides, in the same period, the statistic of UK inhabitant using train and car each day had the same pattern.
The figure for the train is predicted to be at around 5 million people, ranks the second position in the top popular transports in the UK. Over the period show, the number of people choosing Bus decreased modestly and is likely to be the lowest, at about 3 million in 2030 and should become the least popular vehicle.
