Essay topics:

A large number of young people cannot find a job when they leave university. What problems will youth unemployment cause for individuals and for society? Give some measures to help reduce unemployment.

It is become a common phenomenon that many youths cannot find job in an increasingly competitive society. This issue will cause negative effect to both individuals and society. And the essay will discuss the influence of this unemployment and give some measure to solve it.

First and foremost, for society, the unemployment of these graduates is the waste of social resources. The graduates have no opportunity to transfer their academic knowledge and skill into productivity, so paying money in higher education are invested in vain. Moreover, many youngsters will hesitate to continuous their further study because they think higher certification cannot help them when applying for job. For people himself, a negative effect is that young people have to deal with some psychological problems during long time being jobless. They may feel anxious and always lack a sense of achievement. In a long term, these emotion will become potential barriers for their future success at workplace and in personal life.

Some short time employment can help these youths largely. Although they cannot find a decent job immediately, they can still get part-time job not only to be able to feed themselves, but also collect job experience to prepare for future career. Also, the government can motivate graduates to start their own business. Small businesses require lower start-up cost, thereby it can allow these young people to use what they have learned in university more effectively.

Overall, the youngsters should be more confident toward themselves, and never give up to find their dream job.
