The line graph compares three countries in terms of the level of household recycling over a period of 10 years.
From an overall perspective, all figures experienced a sharp increase except for France’s. In addition, it is notable that France constituted the lowest figure by the end of the period despite ranking 1st in 2005.
In 2005, the proportion for household recycling levels in the UK was 35%, which was higher than that of Germany, at about 20%. In the following 4 years, the figure for the UK witnessed a slight increase to 40%. Meanwhile, there was a significant growth in the data for Germany to over 30%. Over the rest period, the UK’s household recycling levels surged at over 60%, being the highest figure. A similar trend was observed in the statistics for Germany with a sharp increase to nearly 60% in the final year.
Turning to France, starting at about 50% in 2005, the figure for Germany went through a steady drop to 30% in 2013. This was followed by a recovery of 10% in 2015.
