Overall, the highest number of burglaries happened in Great Britain. There was an increase in burglaries in Greece, while the figures went down in Spain at the recorded time and it stayed relatively stable in Norway.
In 2000, the number of burglaries fluctuated in Great Britain from around 15,000 to about 20000, and the figures peaked at 20,000 in 2002 and 2006, finally dropped to 15,000 in 2009. The trend was similar in Spain. The figures peaked at nearly 7,00 in 2005, before steadily decreasing to just below 5,000 in 2009.
Greece was the only country were burglaries increased over time, it started nearly at 7,00 in 2000 and stayed steady for next four years, finally the numbers went up gradually to just below 15,000 becoming the second highest. Greece and Norway started almost at the same point while the figures for Norway fluctuated before slightly dropped to just above 5,000 in 2009.
