The line graph illustrates information about the percentage of dweller growth which were divided into four age groups in 1950,1990,2000 and 2050.
Overall, there showed a downward trend in the percentage of people who are in 25-37 years old and over 65 years old, while that of the 0-14 age group and the 38 to 45 age group saw an upward during the period given.
The rate of elderly people 65 aged and beyond gradually increased by 10%, from 60% in 1950 to 70% in 1990, followed by a slight decline to aproximately 65% in 2050. At the same time, that of the 38 to 45 age group showed a double growth from 25% to 45% and contineued to decrease steadily to less than 40% at the end of the given period.
In addition, a steady drop of 10%, from 20% to 10% in the figure for the 25 to 37 age group was recorded from 1950 to 1990, while that of people who were aged 0 to 14 remained constant at around 5%. In the next 50 years, the later exceeded the former in 2000 and contineued to rise slowly to 20% in 2050, while the former showed an opposite trend, falling to 0% in 2050.
