The line graph highlights the number of vehicles which were stolen in Great Britain, Sweden, France and Canada over a 9-year period from 1990 to 1999.

Overall,it can be seen that car theft rate was far higher than other three countries throughout the whole time frame, While this rate noticeably increased in Sweden.

Focusing on the Great Britain and Sweden, although the former car stalling rate was around 18 per thousand vehicle, the latter car lifting rate was one third of this figure.In Great Britain motor vehicle theft was peak 20 per thousand vehicle in 1993 and 1997, whilst this rate slump to around 16 thousand vehicle in 1999. In Sweden car stolen rate kept on soaring, starting the period at just over 5, and finishing at just under 15 per thousand vehicle.

In contrast, Canada and France remained constant throughout the period but automobile embezzlement was equal 1993 and 1999 around 6 to 8 per thousand vehicle.
