The modernisation of the town at seaside resort of Laguna beach within four decades (from 1950 to 1990) is illustrates through three various maps.
A quick glance at three maps is quite enough to make it clear that the spectacular developments were seen in town in the period of 40 years. However, whole area remained between sea.
In the map of 1950, sand dunes were in the northwest part of town just behind the beach huts that were connected with the track going towards northeast side. The right side of the track was filled by trees to make woodland. Beach was in front of the beach huts.
In comparison, with 1950, after twenty years, in 1970, beach huts and track were converted into villas and road respectively. Woodland was removed to find space for caravan park.
In comparison, with 1970, after two decades, in 1990, villas was demolished for the construction of hotel. caravan park was expanded in the east direction. Landscaped gardens, pool and surf school were newly added amenities in this year.
