The maps above illustrate the present situation of the centre of a small town so-called Islip town and its plan in the future with various advancements changing. Overall, it is very clear that the main change to the town centre will be constructed a dual carriageway around the centre.
Currently, Islip town centre is located near with a countryside in the north. The town centre also has a main road in the middle of its centre. There are several shops in the north and south of the main road, while housing is located in south of the town centre. Additionally, a school is located in the south-west and a park in the south-east of the town centre.
In the future, the main road will constructed a dual carriageway around town centre. The main road will be converted into pedestrians only and still located in the middle of the town centre. Moreover, while the row of shops along the south side of the pedestrians only will still remain the same, those along the north will be demolished and converted become bus station, shopping centre, car park and new housing. Those buildings are located in order from west to the east along the pedestrians only in the north. Additionally the school will be expanded, while park is reduced in size.
To conclude all the plans, the main change is a dual carriageway construction around the centre with additionally changes in size of school and park and shops in the north of main road will changed with various advancements.
