The maps below depict the center of Islip city in the future and present time after being redeveloped. Overall, it is readily apparent that a lot of new facilities will be installed in the Islip town in the future.
In detail, it can be seen that Main Road will be only used by Pedestrians after the redevelopment. Moreover, a row of Shops and Countryside in the north side of the Main Road will be demolished. As a replacement, some new facilities will be built, which include Bus Station, Shopping Centre, Car park, and New Housing. However, the Stores in the south of the Main Road will not be changed.
Looking at the south side of the town, it is noticeable that there will be an addition of New Housing. Nevertheless, the previous existing Housing will not be removed. Furthermore, the area of the Park will be reduced, to give the space for the road which will be turned into Dual Carriageway. Lastly, there will be a little enlargement of the School building.
