Percentage of Australian Men and Women doing Regular Physical Activity in 2010

The bar graph, categorized in six different age groups, presents how much men and women were physically active on a regular basis, eight years ago in Australia.

Overall, it is evident on the data that majority of the Australian people who were consistently exercising were females, with the exception of one age group on which the opposite gender was higher in percentage.

Among all of the other age groups, the 15 to 24 year old citizens were the ones on which the men outweighed the number of women in terms of constant physical activity. In addition to that, it was the highest figure among all of the other age groups, constituting to 52.8%.

Another interesting finding was the the oldest group had both genders almost fell equivalently on figure when it comes to achieving physical fitness. Men accounted to 46.7% whereas the other was 47.1%. This was the least gap in contrast to other gender differences.

The rest of the ages had similarities where the females’ figures were higher than those of the opposite gender. Ages 25-34, 35-44, 45-54 and 55-64 had about 6% to 13% differences, on which the second bracket mentioned depicted the highest variance.
