The pie charts illustrate the percentage of expenditure on housing , food , transport and other goods and services which Japanese and malaysian families spend money on them in 2010 .

Overall , it can be seen that the highest expenditure was in goods and services category in japan compared to housing in malaysia . the least category that people spend money on it was the health care in both countries .

As the charts show , the trend of expenditure on both given countries was relatively similar .the good and services had a greatest amount of expenditure in japan 29% while the housing consumed the highest proportion in malaysia 34% , but these percentages reflected to lower level in both countries which they were 21%of housing in japan and 26%of good and services in malaysia .

In terms of transport the people from japan spend 20% on it whereas 10% by malaysians population. The lowest category in given 2 countries was healthcare which was 6% and 3% in japan and malaysia respectively .
