The pie charts below show the percentage of five kinds of books sold by a bookseller between
1972 and 2012.
The given pie charts represent the information about five types of book namely Adult fiction, Children fiction,Biography,Travel and others which were sold by bookseller between 1992 and 2012.The scale is in percentage.
While observing and analysing the whole exercise, the most striking information comes out from the pie charts is related to Adult fiction. Initially 20% of readers like to read adult fiction book in 1972 and there was a 5% increase was observed in this trend in the following 20 years.On the other hand , only 15% of travel books were sold in 1972.However, other type of books were the highest purchased by readers, which was accounted for 25%.
It is also seen from the pie chart that in 1992,the sales of Biography and other type of books were decreased by 5% and stood at 15% and 20% respectively.However, there had Been slight increase seen in the Children’s fiction book readers, which was 20% in 1972 and reached at 22% in 1992.
Overall, the highest proportion of book readers was in adult fiction among all type of books.
