Initially, North America and Europe consumed higher percentage of water for industrial use, it recorded at around a half percentage. Interestingly, South America used at double quantity of water for agricultural activity, as compared to both North America and Europe.Moreover, these three areas used approximately identical percentage of water for domestic use.

Probing further, it has been observed that Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia consumed constant percentage of water for agricultural use, it accounted at 84%, 88% and 81%, respectively.
