In initial year when cameras are installed around 2 lac people been caught and this figures gradually increased by one lac in every year up to 5th year. However, after the 6th year of cameras installation, the ratio has rapidly grown up and reach to 16 lac in 8th year. On the other hand, the killing ratio was 3100 in first year and reached around 3400 in 3rd year. After this, the figures dropped by 3000 in 4th year and shows fluctuation throughout the last year and touched again the similar figure of 2nd year.
However, 32% of people believes in reduction of accidents by cameras, while 60% people denied it and remaining 8% have no idea. Furthermore, 26% citizens think that speed cameras are installed to improve road safety, whereas, 71% gave reason to raise revenue and very minor group of people do not know the reason. Another reviews on number of speed cameras on the road, where 56% says too many, 19% says too few, however 17% says about right and remaining 8% not aware about it.
Overall, it is clear to seen that as speed cameras are installed the number of drivers pay more fines, while from survey it shows that large number of people believes it useless.
