The table below describes the number of employees and factories in England and Wales from 1851 to 1901. It is a reaction to the data changes of people of people of different genders.
In 1851 there were far more male employees than female employees, males were 287,000 and females were 190,000, they differed by 97,000. There is a big difference, in 1901 the difference is getting smaller, the number of male employees is 31,000 and the number of female employees is 30,000, only one thousand people. Another source of information is that the number of factories is increasing year on year, from 225 in 1851 to 600 in 1901. We also found that the total number of employees is decreasing year on year, from 477,100 decline to 61,000. The number of factories is increasing and the number of total employees means the factory is becoming more and more mechanized.
