The table provides respective datasets of six cities by some of underground railway system characteristics such as beginning date, path lengths and the number of passengers.
As table shows, the oldest underground railway system is for London and because of its age, the path is extended more than other cities too. In terms of date of starting, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles are in second to sixth places respectively. Furthermore, the age of every railway system has direct relationship with kilometers of route but the only exception is Kyoto. On the other hand, although the railway of Kyoto is established earlier than LA but the length of LA train system route is longer than Kyoto.
It is obvious that in terms of number of passengers that are transported, Tokyo has the first rank. Although London and Paris railway have established earlier than Tokyo railway but this city has dedicated the first rank for itself. Furthermore, Paris railway system is younger than London but it has the second place among others. London, Washington DC, LA and Kyoto have third to sixth ranks respectively. By looking at table, of course Kyoto is older than LA in terms of its railway system but LA has more passenger transportation rather than Tokyo.
