The trends for Ireland and Korea were significantly different from other countries. Ireland saw a rise in its waste production in 2000 was over eight times as high as it for 1980, with an increase from 0.6 to 5. However, the amounts of waste made in Korea fall at approximately 12 million tonnes, from 31 in 1990 to 19 in 2000.
