The table below shows the information about the percentages of the first-year university students rating at "very good" about 5 aspects of their course in 2003
The graph compares different course sectors in a university in terms of proportion evaluated by freshman students in 2003. Overall, it is clear that top-rated aspect among business, computing and maths was definitely tutor support while the opposite was true for resource.
Looking at the information in more detail, with regard to business, tutor support was on the top, with about 96%. It is followed by teaching quality which stood at 93%, while the course content’s proportion was much less ( just 74%). By contrast, proportions for the remaining types as resource and pre-course information stayed much lower, ranging from over a half to 62% in each sections. Moreover, there were some similarities between computing and business in terms of almost the figures expect the course content. The percent of course content in computing accounted for 69%, which was slightly lower than in business.
In addition, the math’s figure is far much different from the mentioned major. Even though, the tutor support’s percentage was by far the most popular at 90%, a striking point to note is that 72% math students chose the course content as the second favorable aspect. Furthermore, pre-course information and teaching quality were in the same quantities (at 64%) while about half the students opted for resource.
