The table compares six different countries in terms of their forested land in three seperated years

overall, the amount of forested land in four out of six countries decreased. The vast majority of forested land came from Europe

in 1990, about 990 million of hectares were found in Europe, before rising minimally to over 1000 millions of hectars in 2005. By contrast, the figure for Asia was significantly lower , at approximately 576 million of hecrares in 1990. In 2005 , Asia witnessed an slow increase of well under 10 miliion of hectares in the amount of forested land.

Reverse trend was seen in other countries, in 1990, around 946 million of hectares went to South Ameria, which was over 4 times as much as that of Oceania. The figures for North America and Africa were roughtly 708 and 749 million of hectares respectively. From 1990 to 2005, there was an slight decline in the amount of forested land in North America and Oceania. By 2005, the amount of forested land in South America had considerably fell to just over 880 million of hectares compared to just 691 that of in Africa
