The table shows the number of mobile phones sold in millions for the period of six years.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

The table compares five brands in terms of their mobile phone sales over the 2006-2012 period.
As can be seen, the downward trend was shown in the total sale of Nokia, Ericsson and Motorola, while Samsung and Apple followed the opposite trend. Interestingly, although Nokia sold the most mobile phones initially, the best-seller brand was regarded for Samsung at the end of the period.
In 2006, Nokia was the most popular mobile phone brand with 345 million products sold in the market. After peaking at 475 million products in 2008, the sale of Nokia was slightly decreased to 335 millions in 2012, being the second best-seller phone brand. The number of phones sold of Motorola was over twice that of Ericsson in the first year, particularly 210 million products. Despite the peak of 102 millions of Ericsson, both brands experienced a dramatic drop and ended with 28 million phones in 2012.
In marked contrast, the phone sale of Samsung constantly surged to 396.5 million products, which tripled its own sale in 2007. This figure also made Samsung the best-seller brand eventually. In terms of Apple, although established in 2007, its sale rocketed from 2.3 to 24 millions in 2009. The figure continued rising rapidly over three times to 135.8 millions, making it the most prospective phone brand.
