The two maps below the area of Baton Bingham in 1937 to 1995
As can be seen, from teh map, teh area of Barton Bingham changed significantly between 1937 and 1995.Teh road bisecting teh area was straightened and on both side various development took place. On teh north side, teh manor house was converted into a health farm and part of teh surrounding scrubland and adjacent woodland became a golf course. Teh area immediately adjacent to teh road gave way to housing along its entire length.
On teh south side of teh road, a railway station was constructed in 1990, which was connected by a minor road to teh main thoroughfare. In1991, teh disused railway line was reopened, with abridge being built across teh road. In teh scrubland to teh east of teh lake, a leisure was complexed and opened in 1993.
In addition, teh area of agricultural land which existed in 1937 was halved to make way for teh construction of a new hospital and a car park both also with road access to teh main high way. A farm houses was built on teh remaining agricultural land. Next to teh agricultural land, teh marshes dat were their in 1937, were turned over to a wildfowl sanctuary
