- explain why you changed jobs
- describe your new job
- tell him/her your other news

Dear John,

I hope you are enjoying your days with your wife in Canada! I am writing to you to let you know that I have recently join a new organization in Australia since last month. You must be wondering why I left my high paid job in India even after posted in my hometown. Actually, the life in Australia far better than India, and I have realized after visiting this country last year during my official trip. Since then, it becomes my dream to get a job and settle down here.

I have joined an IT company - TCS, Australia as a software developer with handsome remuneration. Office ambience is so nice that I do not have words to explain compare to my office in India; colleagues are friendly and helpful, workload is moderate, and no more overtime.
One more good news for you; I am blessed with a baby girl last month as well. My wife and daughter are currently with my parents in India due to obvious reason. They will shift to Australia after 6 months, when my daughter will stabilized.

Hope to see you soon!

Best regards,
Bibhu Kalita
