After working in your department for over 3 years, you feel the need to switch your department.Write a letter to your boss requesting a change in the department. In the letter mention:
Why do you want to switch departments?
Which department would you prefer?
Why do you think you are a good fit in that department?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter on my keen interest for changing my place into a different department within the organization. As you know that I am working in the Sales for more than 3 years and I am very happy with the experience and skills which I have gained working into this department. However, recently I completed my Post Graduation in Marketing and I assume it will be a right time to alter my role and responsibility.

Undoubtedly, I will be more interested to join the marketing team in the upcoming years of my service. Also, I will be always available to extend a hand to those who seek my advice in the Sales team.

I believe My current qualification has added a value to my skills which I would like to further use it for the advancement of our organization. I would be grateful if you could give me a chance to prove myself.Looking forward to see a positive response from your side.

Yours faithfully
Deepak Sharma
