City council is planning to pull down one of the historic buildings in your town because they do not have funds to renovate it. As a citizen, you don’t want it to happen. Write a letter to the city council and say – What is the importance of the building? – Why should it be renovated? – Suggest a plan to raise funds and maintain the building in the future.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to raise my concern to the city council about the plan to demolish one of the heritage building in my neighbourhood, due to lack of funds to renovate it, about which I got to know from yesterday's newspaper.
The structure is very significant as it was built in the early 1800s by the king of the city, and has linked to many historical events. Furthermore, the design and material used to construct the building is unique, which can be inspirational to many architecture students.
Keeping this historical inheritance for the next generation should be the primary reason to restore. Additionally, this could be developed as the city landmark, as well.
A public crowd-funding program can be organised to raise charity, and transformation of the building into a museum, wherein a marginal fee can be collected for the maintenance in the future.
As a Citizen, I urge a considerate not to pull down the historic building.
Yours faithfully,
Kaplan Vaghela
