I am writing this letter on behalf of 'Spring Lake Society' to express our deep distress caused because of faulty garbage collection system. As a result, many of our families are suffering with various problems and few are addressed in here.
Normally, rubbish collection vehicle regularly visits our locality every morning 7 AM. However, from past two weeks, for some reason no one is coming to collect wastage materials from our bins. Further, garbage collectors are irregular and few times forget to clear some bins completely. On the other hand, they are dumping garbage into near by lake which is even more serious as it can contaminate our drinking water. Taking advantage of this situation, stray dogs are rampaging all over the garbage cans and spreading disposed covers through out the result. Consequently, when wind blows, these dirty and harmful items are entering into our houses making the conditions even worse.
At this vulnerable juncture, our community is even more worried about growing health menace because of flies and mosquitoes coming from garbage's. In addition, air and environment is polluted because of obnoxious smell arising out of decomposed rubbish. Adding to the existing problem, rats are increasing day by day as they are taking shelter in those stinky places. If sufficient action is not taken, we are afraid that, our vicinity might become a breeding space for diseases like malaria and typhoid.
Before it's too lake, kindly wake up and arrange for trucks to clean our surroundings. In my opinion, a time table has to be deployed for proper garbage management. Accordingly, please instruct your cleaning stuff to avoid irregular gaps between days and to follow uniform method to evade future complications. Significant changes has to be done in waste disposal manner. If necessary, council can increase housing taxes to implement scientific techniques. Another way to deal with problem is to ask residents for using different boxes to dispose wet and dry waste. In this way, not only garbage heaps can be reduced but also recycling is possible.
Hope my intervention did not disturb your plans and look forward for your response.
Yours Sincerely,
James.
