There are many reasons that can motivate a person to stay working for the same company Some believe that money is the main reason Do you agree or disagree

Many people argue that the Salary is the most important reason for an employee to work for years in the same organization. I do not agree with this statement, even though salary is one of the aspect towards loyalty. I believe, growth is the main reason for a person to work in one company.

Nowadays company often offer contract to their employees in order to make them stay for long term. Such contracts ranges between 3-5 years long, and the increment are on the yearly basis that are already mentioned in the contract. A Hospital in Ahmedabad, offers their employee a contract of 5 years with an hike of 25% every year, regardless of their performance. So, such contractual terms looks attractive but the draw back is, there is lack of growth opportunities. In other words, the working environment and the position will be locked and will remain same till 5 long years.

Having said that, so instead of considering monetary benefits, many people look for the growth options, in terms of position. For instance, a person started as a Business development Executive will want to see himself at a managerial position in a long run. So this could only be possible by staying in that organization for a significant amount of time. On the contrary, a person who keeps switching jobs, will not be able to get to a top position, as there comes a question of loyalty. A survey conducted by Times job stated that people who kept jumping from one company to another had very less chance of getting a promotion.

In conclusion, even though getting a good pay is always one thing that people want to go after. However, the main reason for a person to show the loyalty toward the company is to achieve growth in their job in a long run.
