Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with regards to the MRT (train) service on the North-East line. Recently, the train service was disrupted many times and halted for a while causing delay to reach my destination. Due to this, I missed my important meeting and was reprimanded by my manager.
I commute daily from Paya Lebar station to Jurong East station during peak hours and I always board the train that leaves at 8am. Usually, I am able to reach my workplace around 8.45am but for last few occasions due to some repair works on the tracks, I reach later than 9am. I totally understand that the track works are crucial and occasionally require maintenance by technicians, but I believe that this situation could be be avoided if such works takes place during wee hours or after midnight when train services end. Lately, this has been a regular affair and hence the need for me to write in officially so that you are able to tackle this situation at the earliest in order to avoid any further inconvenience to the commuters.
