Dear Mrs Natasha,

I am writing to apologise for the meeting about the Software upgrade that I missed on the 20th of April, 2019.

I am deeply sorry for not being able to attend the meeting. I know how crucial the meeting was to the company but my absence was unfortunately unavoidable.

What happened is that I had an accident on my way to work that day and I was rushed to a nearby health facility. Although , it was not a fatal accident but the doctor did not allow me to leave until I was given a given a 'clean bill of health'.

Nevertheless, I know how imperative this meeting was and so I had contacted my colleague, Rose, and she has agreed to give me a load down of all the intricacies of the meeting agenda after close of work today. She will tell me all about people's roles and responsibilities and deadlines for each task given.

I am very sorry and I hope you will forgive me and be assured of my undivided commitment to the company and its future.

Yours sincerely,

Wunmi
