I hope the letter finds you in the best of health. I feel the need to bring the fact of me moving away from the neighborhood to your knowledge. Allow me to elaborate on the details.
As you know, I have been preparing for the Civil Services Examination and I was finally selected in Police Services Cadre. I am sorry that I did not inform you the moment I go to know it. Everything happened so quickly and the news of my selection came as a huge surprise to me as my name was not on the first list. Some candidates have reappeared for the examination to change their cadre and seeing that the same cadre was allotted to them, they gave up their seat and as a result, I was asked to report.
Moreover, it is not easy for me to leave this lovely neighbourhood. But, I am constrained to move due to my professional commitments and to move ahead in life. I am going to miss the long walks with other aspirants from different fields who are in pursuit to land their dream job. I will also miss the overnight study session we used to hold together with the other people of the locality and last but not the least your coffee.
Furthermore, my moving away does not mean that we will not be seeing each other anymore. I am moving into the Civil Lines area where to government has a quarter for the officers. You are invited to my new house next week. I will be desperately waiting for you to show up. Please do not disappoint me.
