Say what action you would like the landlord to take
Dear Mr. Johnson,
I am writing to you in connection with the house I am renting from you in the Georgetown, Sydney. This letter is to bring your attention to the quality of furniture in here and why it’s dangerous to our safety if no action is taken.
My name is Mary and I am a software designer working in one of the fastest growing start-ups in this city. I live with my husband and two children, who go to the school down the road. As my husband's office is in the tech district, it is very convenient to stay in your accommodation.
Unfortunately, some of the furniture is quite old and not in the best condition. The dining table is the worse of the lot and it's getting very scary to use the chairs that are available with it. The other day my son was having lunch at the table when one of the legs snapped into half and he fell down. Luckily, he wasn’t injured, but the others in the set are also wobbly.
I would like you to please replace the furniture at the earliest or let us know if we can change them ourselves and deduct their cost from the next month’s rent.
Looking forward to your positive revert
Yours Sincerely
Karishma Dave
