Dear Davidson,
I am writing to request if we could change my move in date to the new apartment leased out by you. The reason being our academic exams have been postponed by a month due to the unexpected rains and severe water logging problems in the city.
Let me explain my problem in more detail. As you are aware there are heavy rainfall in the city and cyclone alert has been given by Indian meteorological department. Normal life has been hit due to the heavy down pour. In addition, there has been water logging all around the city due to which our university management has decided to reschedule the exams to next month. I am afraid that I would not be able to focus on shifting to new place and my studies.
Could I ask you if we could change the date of occupancy from December of current year to January of next year and other terms of rental agreement remains unchanged. It is easier for me to move in after my academic examinations are completed.
