You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
• give details of your study plans
• explain why you want to get a part-time job
• suggest how your friend could help you find a job

Dear James,
Hope everything is well! Did you know that I am coming to Canada by end of this month. I am writing this letter to enquire about the part-time jobs available there and assist me to get the same.
I am arriving on 1st April and have planned to stay with my classmates for a while near waterloo as my post-graduation course in Big Data Solutions Architecture starts in Waterloo campus on 9th April. Meanwhile, I will have to look out for a part time job for savings to pay next term fee.
Instead of waiting and searching for job when landed, I think it would be better if I could find a part time job to start from first day without wasting time. As you have been there for a while you might be having contacts to refer me for the jobs as our profile is similar. I am open for any kind of jobs.
It would be grateful if you could help me find a job as soon as possible. Also, if you need anything from India let me know beforehand so that I could arrange and bring it for you.
Best wishes,
XYZ
