I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I am writing to ask you a favor. I am going to take a holiday next month and I need someone to look after my house while I am away. Would you be able to do that for me?
I am planning to visit Thailand for two weeks, from June 15th to June 29th. I have always wanted to see the beautiful temples, beaches and wildlife there. I have booked my flight and hotel online and I am very excited about this trip.
However, I am also worried about leaving my house unattended for so long. That is why I am asking you to help me out. You are the only person I trust with this responsibility. You know where I keep my spare key and how to operate the alarm system. All I need you to do is to check on the house once in a while, water the plants, feed the fish and collect the mail. It should not take much of your time and I would really appreciate it.
To thank you for your kindness, I will bring you some souvenirs from Thailand. Maybe a silk scarf or a Buddha statue or some exotic spices. You can tell me what you prefer when we meet before I go. How about we have lunch together next week? We can catch up on everything and I can give you more details about my house and my trip.
