You are An, the president of the youth club in your secondary school. On behalf of the members, write a letter to invite a famous person to give a speech at one of your club’s meetings. In your letter, you should:
- introduce your club
- give the reasons why you want to invite this person
- tell him/her about the arrangements for the meeting.

Dear Chi Pu,
How are you doing? I am the leader of the youth club in X secondary school. On behalf of all the members, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to deliver a
speech at my club’s meeting on this Saturday.
During quarantine, various students can not afford buying a tool to attend online classes, several poor people do not have enough money to purchase food, beverage
or to pay the rent. Our club is raising funds, collect clothes, necessary stuff on this auspicious occasion for poor people.
You are the right personality to deliver the speech as you have made major contribution to numerous medical institutes. Should you accept this invitation, we will make all the arrangements to pick you up and drop at your residential place. Your invited talk will be about one hour long, including a 10 minute question-answer session.
I hope you can make time to attend our meeting. Write back as soon as you can and tell me if you can come !
Yours sincerely,
