You are An, the president of the youth club in your secondary school. On behalf of the members, write a letter to invite a famous person to give a speech at one of your club’s meetings. In your letter, you should:
- introduce your club
- give the reasons why you want to invite this person
- tell him/her about the arrangements for the meeting.

Dear Chi Pu,
How have you been doing recently? Is your recent schedule affected by Coronavirus outbreak during these days? Through warm contacts, I know your email address. I am the leader of the youth club in X secondary school. On behalf of all the members, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to make a speech at my
club’s meeting on this Saturday.
As you may know, during quarantine period, poor people lost their jobs and do not have enough money to purchase food, beverage and to pay the rent at Hanoi city. Our club is doing a campaign with the hope of raising funds, collecting old clothes and other necessary stuff, which are expected to donate to the impoverished. When it comes to your great contribution to society, especially the youth development over the past few years, I do believe that you are the most appropriate person for our meeting. Besides, our meeting disseminates meaningful and humanitarian messages to the community, which you are always prone to.
If you accept our invitation, could you please to be available on your facebook’s livestream at 8pm on next Monday.
I hope you can make time to attend our meeting. Looking forward to your prompt response.
Yours sincerely,
