Dear Jean,
Hi! how is everything? My youngest sister is getting married and we are all ecstatic. However, the ceremony date is on December 28, 2018. It is supposed to be the day of my flight to Canada to visit you. To make things worst, visitors received their invitations and one of the bridesmaid is yours truly.
She begged to change the dates of my trip, so I would like to apologize that I need to be with my sister first. This must be disappointing for you because all are set and the itinerary are printed already. It breaks my heart that you will be alone for the new year.
Anyway, we will still stick on what we have planned, like visiting old museum ,looking at picturesque scenery and eat plethora of food. So, how about January 7-12, 2019? Will it fit your busy schedule? Remember, you will be my personal tour guide.
