Dear Mr. Clooney,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I have decided to resign from the company with effect from 1st of September 2018. I am supposed to serve a notice period of 1 month however I am writing this letter much in advance so the company can find my replacement while I am here so I can hand over all my job responsibilities to the new person.
I have always enjoyed working in our company and would never have resigned had I not received this offer in the city where my parents live and where I grew up. It is a great job opportunity for me and more importantly gives me a chance to stay with
my Parents who are in their mid-seventies now.
The job offer is from Ernst & Young and it is a senior audit manager’s position and will also handle some corporate finance clients also. I have learnt a lot in the last 5 years I have worked here and my seniors have always given me opportunities to express myself and I am taking this learning and experience into the next employment.
Kindly accept my resignation and do let me know what the exit formalities are.
