– Polite. No one responds to insults.

– Firmness. You want to be taken seriously.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to bring to your notice, the poor experience we had at your restaurant. We visited your restaurant for an evening dinner at 6 PM yesterday. Despite pre-booking the table in advance, it took more than 30 mins for us to get a seat. I understand it was weekend rush and generously condoned the delay.
But things spiraled down, post we got our table. It took another 30 minutes for the staff to take our order and another 45 minutes for the food to be served. We were literally starving and restless by the time food arrived. And to our dismay the food served was cold and tasteless.
We were completely disappointed and when we tried complaining to the staff, they didn't listen to us and showed an indifferent attitude, which happened to be the final nail in the coffin. This was totally unacceptable, for a posh and a renowned restaurants like yours.
We have earlier had pleasant experience at your restaurant and it is one of the favorite restaurants personally. I'm sorry to say this, but post yesterday's fiasco, i will have to re-evaluate my preference, unless some serious measures are taken on the food quality and the servicing front.
I would like you to consider this feedback seriously and take necessary actions to maintain the standard of the food, irrespective of the circumstances. Also, request you to sensitize and train your staff on the customer-centric servicing culture.
Further, as a compensation to the mental agony and physical stress, we experienced yesterday, I feel it's fair for us to request for a refund of our bill. I'm also happy to accept a voucher, which can be used in your restaurant, the next time we visit. I have attached the bill with this letter for your reference and would await your decision on the same.
Hoping to see a far better experience at the restaurant in the future.
