Essay topics:

You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it
very difficult to work.

Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter

describe the situation

explain your problems and why it is difficult to work

say what kind of accommodation you would prefer

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you in regards to my room that I have been renting for the past two months at Northcote College.

The room itself is great as it is spacious and comfortable and reasonably priced which I find hard to find in this region. In the beginning, I rented this room alone but about one month ago they send another student to share the room with me.

She was very nice and quiet in the beginning, however, she now likes to party a lot. She often arrives in the room in the early mornings or at midnight, which is waking me up. I cannot sleep properly and I find it really hard to live like that. It affects my studies as well because I am so tired all the time.

I would be happy to rent a room by myself or have another roommate who would be more interested in studies than parties.

Yours faithfully,

Marcell Bonwell
