You recently returned by plane from an overseas trip. When you reached home, you realised you had left your hand luggage on the plane. Write a letter to the airline.

In your letter:

• say when and where you lost your hand luggage

• describe the bag and its contents

• suggest the action you would like the airline to take

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter with deep regret that I forgot to take out my hand luggage from plane's cabin when I was disembarking at the Sydney International Airport. The flight number of the airline which was used for travelling was EK616 and was a direct flight on 26 December, 2019 from Jinnah Airport, Karachi and arrived after 24 hours to Sydney Airport.

You can easily recognise the bag, as it was brown in colour and had white polka dots all over it. It was a custom made bag and my name 'Umair' was embossed with capital letters on the front of the bag. One of the bag's distinctive look is that it has a plastic moulded zipper which was broken and green stick-on was used. There was nothing fancy or delicate in my bag, all it contains was my grey coloured track suit, reading glasses and a packet of chips.

I would be very grateful if you can return my bag while I am on a vacation in Sydney till 5 January 2020, so that I can use my bag for other purpose as well. I can be reached through email which is umair.hassan234@gmail.com.

Will be waiting for your response.

Yours’ faithfully,

Umair Hassan
