Respected Sir/ Madam,
I am writing this letter in response to your recent newspaper advertisement seeking volunteers for a charity event for children suffering from cancer at Boston cancer hospital. I would like to inform you that charity events like this are very close to my heart. More so after, personally witnessing the pain of a cancer patient during my nephew’s traumatic lung cancer treatment and recovery. It makes me passionate to work for such cause with courage and empathy.
Let me explain in detail, as to how I got to work with Boston Cancer Hospital before and how I have been involved in similar events in the past. As mentioned previously, I got to understand the role played by these hardworking charitable organizations to provide financial aid and better medical facilities. This motivated me to help and volunteer for such events. I joined them by helping to organize the event and also in my professional capacity as a photographer before and during the event. I have done that for more than 15 such events now.
Would you kindly consider me as a volunteer for the aforesaid event and include me as an active member in arrangement committee as well as an event photographer if the need be. I would be available for the weekends as well as 2 hours on weekdays till the day of the event.
Thank you for your consideration
Yours faithfully
Seema
