Dear Sir,
I am writing this epistle to seek your approval for taking 12 days off in order to attend my elder brother's wedding in Gujarat. I am hoping that you would grant me leave from 1st December to 12 December 2019.
To begin with, my families live in India and my elder bother is going to get married on 5th December. As being the younger brother in the family, my presence at home befor two days of marriage is necessary so that I can take part in numerous rituals in wedding ceremony. I would really appreciate your approval to use a two week’s paid leave.
During my absence, I would like my colleague Mr. Shah to take over my work in supporting administrative department as senior manager. I have already discussed the daily routine activities with him and made him aware of the responsibilities of the role. Besides this, I would be able to check important emails and perhaps reply to some of them during that time.
Finally, I realize my temporary absence could be an inconvenience to you and the rest of the team. However, I am ready to work extra hours to compensate my work once I return office.
