Your friend had made a plan for you to see a movie together but you cannot join him/her. You’ve found another friend who can go instead of you. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
 Explain why you cannot go anymore
 Say who can go instead of you
 Say why this person is a good person to go with

Dear Clara,

How are you doing? I was eagerly waiting to watch a movie with you after a long time! But, I’m sorry that I won’t be able to make it tomorrow as we had planned. My company has sent me a message asking me to be present in my office tomorrow because there will be a sudden audit to inspect my project. As I am the Architect of my project, my presence is important during the audit session tomorrow.

If you don’t mind, shall I ask my cousin Sheela to go to movies with you? I think I introduced her to you when you came to my birthday party last year. She works in my company and seems free tomorrow. Also, she is fun-loving and jovial in nature like us! So, she’d be the best partner for you to hang out.

Again, sorry for not joining you tomorrow. We’ll definitely watch a good movie together next month.

Best wishes,

Carol Langland
