Dear Sir or Madam,
This is in reference to the decision of demolishing the recreation center of our locality for raising fund. This letter is on behalf of the people residing here in this town, as we all have come together and written our thought over it.
To begin with, this locality neither has a garden nor a playground, where one can take advantage of it. Therefore, for us we have only the recreation center for our physical benefit and for socializing.
We have been using the recreation center for a long time as my family uses it for practicing yoga in the morning, my friends and I use it for indoor games like table tennis and carrom.
To let you know, this is the hub that has played an important role in bringing the residence closer together, through various activity like yoga, laughing therapy, chess , badminton, table tennis that the resident are interested in. This has also made the community lively and fit. For example, it is seen that many elders voluntary teach the youngster and encourage them in different sports. Recently, one of our youth had won in chess at the Interclub competition 2018. This is a proud moment for our locality. From this you can see clearly how the recreation center is useful to us.
If the recreation center is demolished then the residents will have nowhere to regroup and socialize resulting in the residence getting hooked up to the TV or computer, affecting their health. On the other hand, children will no longer have any physical activity and it will affect their interest too.
So my advice to you is to please think over the plan and find other alternative to raise funds. There is an old factory in the down town which can be used for planning. Hope you consider our plea.
