Your mentor recommended you to learn a new language and gave you contact details of a teacher. Following his advice, you need to write a letter to the teacher and say
- What is your motivation to learn a new language?
- How can the teacher help you?
- When will you be ready to start?

Dear Mr Ryan Lee,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I received your contact details from Mr. Brad Pitt, who is my mentor, because I am interested to learn french. Since, I plan to immigrate to Quebec in Canada, where knowledge of french is essential, I wish to start immediately.

Let me explain in detail. Firstly, I have absolutely no background of the language and need to start from the basics. Secondly, I have heard some amazing reviews about your teaching style, where you provide undivided attention to the students. Lastly, although I am working during the week, I can reschedule my shifts so that I can attend the weekday classes, thus keeping the the weekend free for practice and self-study.

Lastly, without further ado, I would like to join the batch starting next Monday. Moreover, to get a head start of the syllabus, I have taken the free trial available on your website and believe I will be ready by next week.

I look forward to your reply and hope you consider this letter as an intent to apply.

Your Faithfully,
Mary Smith
