It has been seen that reporters mainly prefer to report those news which are related to issues like crime and emergencies instead of good news. Hence, some natives believe that these types of news have a negative impact on the people’s life and society. However, I feel these reporting brings awareness and show what is actually happening around our surroundings.
To begin with, there are immense benefits of such news to an individual. First among of them is awareness. When media reports news related to crimes for instance murder, kidnapping, rapes etc. Then, Through these news people not only become aware, but also put efforts to protect themselves and their near and dear ones from facing any kind of circumstances like this. Overall, News puts a positive impact on the lives of people. Furthermore, if media shows only good news related to development and achievements which I also consider very crucial for us but it doesn’t represent the real picture of the world.
Moreover, when some emergency happen all over the world. Media is the only medium through which people get information regarding this. For example, nowadays corona virus is spreading all over the world at high rate and people are becoming aware regarding this through social media, newspaper, news channels etc. They are adopting preservatives measures to save themselves. This has made possible due to the reporting. Last but not the least, everyone has a right to know what is actually happening around the world whether it is positive or negative .
In conclusion, although any kind of negative news bring some sort of disgrace and stress in everyone’s life but it can not be denied that it alerts the citizens and made them informed person.
